Practical Tips for learning English

1. Love English.

When you fall in love with something or someone, you’ll do anything to get what it is that you want. The same rules apply with learning English. If you love it, your brain will tell your body to do what you need to do to be a successful learner. Everything written in English will look good to your eyes and everything spoken in English will sound nice to your ear. And let yourself absorb those to enrich your English learning.

2. Expose yourself in English.

Bear in mind that learning English doesn’t always mean to sit and read English books. You can do a whole lot fun stuff in English such as watch your favorite TV program or Youtube channel. Sing to your favorite English songs or read your favorite English novel! Today there are lots of people making video content in English, just be careful to select ones who are really competent! You don’t wanna sound speaking broken English, huh?

3. Invest in English.

Invest in something then you’ll get rich in it! If you invest your money, you’ll grow your wealth. If you invest in your English learning, you’ll soon be an expert in it! Devote time and energy in learning the language, and you’ll see yourself making a steady progress.

4. Set your target

 It would be helpful to set your goals and your target. People may have different goals when learning English Language. Some may want to learn English to be able to speak fluently, some may want to study English language to pass a standardized test, and some others may need to master the language as they want to study abroad. So, whatever goals that you may have, set your daily target. It could be as simple as spending 5 minutes everyday to read an English book, listening to a podcast, or watching English programs. Don’t forget to take notes of words or phrases in your notebook so you will have your own vocabulary builder.

 5. Keep practicing and enjoy the process.

There’s nothing happens instantly! No one would speak English fluently without learning and practicing. So, take your time and enjoy the learning journey! Don’t find excuses for not practicing.
